Roof Inspection

Whilst cleaning the gutters on your property, we will also carry out a free health check on your roof, looking out for any indication that your roof will need attention in the near future. This information will be emailed to you along with images of the highlighted areas. 

Gutter Cleaning Costs

For most non-commercial buildings, we charge a flat rate per linear meter of guttering. Typically £5pm up to two storeys, anything 3 storeys and up is £7pm. If additional access equipment is required, then that will also be added onto the quote. For commercial work, we will set out a flat fee based on the scale of the project. Any blocked downpipes will need to be quoted on a case by case basis.

Gutter Cleaning Access

We can access up to 3 storeys from a ladder, before needing to hire any height equipment. Where suitable roof access is possible, we can also use roof ladders and rope access equipment to allow us to clean the gutters on high rise tenement properties without the need to hire cherry pickers.

How much does it cost to have my gutters cleaned?

As a rough guide, we tend to charge £5 per meter for anything up to two storeys in height, then £7 per meter for anything higher on non-commercial buildings. For commercial or industrial gutter cleaning pricing, please get in touch to request a free quote. 

Is it worth getting my gutters cleaned?

Keeping your gutters clear and in good working order will not only maintain the appearance of your property, but also help stop any easily preventable damage caused by water backfilling and working it's way into the roof space.

How often should you clean your gutters?

Most properties would benefit from a gutter clean at least once a year. However, those with overhanging trees, heavy moss on the roof or close to large areas of vegetation may need the gutters cleaned more often. 

How long does it take to clean gutters?

For a standard 2 storey terrace house, it shouldn't take any longer than an hour or so. But properties with more complex layouts or large areas will take longer. 

What problems can blocked gutters cause?

When a gutter is blocked, water will backfill and spill over at the lowest point. In most cases this will be at a union and will spill down the wall, which will eventually lead to damp ingress. If the water leaks from the back of the gutter, it can find it's way straight into the roof space, causing damp patches to appear on the ceiling and around external walls. 

Can you install something to stop gutters getting blocked?

We can install gutter guards or gutter brushes to help stop debris from finding it's way into your gutters and blocking the water course. Please get in touch if you would like a quote for supply and installation.
